Our Mission

At JDPC, the Animation and Research Team, one of the four major committees in the Catholic Archdiocese of Jos, is dedicated to building the capacity of local communities to collaborate with the church in addressing social challenges. We engage communities to identify local issues and equip them with skills to solve these using local resources.

Correctional Service Apostolate

Correctional Service Apostolate

The social arm of the Catholic Church, this program focuses on spiritual rehabilitation and empowerment of inmates at Jos Maximum Custodial Center. Key components include:

  • Spiritual rehabilitation for inmates.
  • Skill training for societal reintegration.
  • Advocacy for inmates' rights and welfare.
  • Provision of legal aid and humanitarian assistance.

This initiative supports inmates and wardens, fostering a rehabilitative environment.
